For “Weaving Narratives,” Calvino and Daniel collected the personal narratives of members of their community on how to remain hopeful under the difficulty and uncertainty of the pandemic. These narratives were then embedded in textile art pieces created by artist Martin Calvino. In a way these textiles function as both catharsis and documentation of a moment that affected every single community on the planet. In a way these narratives become lessons for the future on how we survived and persevered through trying times.
